HOW TO MAKE DAL KEBABS

Ingredients for making Dal Kebab Recipe
1. Split Bengali Gram (Chana Dal) 2 Cups or 250 grams
2. Caraway Seed Powder (Shahi Jeera): 1/4 teaspoon
3. Green Chillies (Hari Mirch): 2-3
4. Onion (Pyaj): 1
5. Red Chillies powder (Lal Mirch powder): 1/2 teaspoon
6. Salt as per taste
7. Gram Flour (Besan): 2 teaspoons
8. Coriander Leaves
9. Ginger
10. Oil for deep frying
Before Preparation of Dal Kababs
1. Chana dal have to be soaked in water.
2. Onion to be chopped.
3. Coriander Leaves to be chopped.
Making of Dal Kebabs
1. Drain all the water and grind half of the chana dal, not very fine, but coarse in the mixer.
2. Grind rest of half of the chana dal very fine in the mixer.
3. In a frying pan keep oil in moderate flame on the gas.
4. Add shahi jeera, green chillies, onion, red chillies powder, ginger and coriander leaves to the grind chana dal and mix very well. Now, add gram flour or besan in the mixture and again mix it very well.
5. Wet your fingers and take small portions of the mixture.
6. Flatten it sightly and put the same in the hot oil.
7. Keep it frying on medium heat until half done.
8. Now take it out from the oil and drain the excess oil on absorbent paper.
9. Serve it immediately with the chutney of your choice.
