Ingredients for Corn Pakoda

  1. Sweet Corn 2 Cups
  2. Onion 3/4 cups chopped
  3. Besan 2 Cups
  4. Rice Flour 3 Tbsp
  5. Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
  6. Chat Masala
  7. Garlic Lasoon Paste
  8. Fennel or Saunf 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric Powder 1 tbsp
  10. Hing Powder 1 pinch
  11. Jeera Powder 1 Tbsp
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Oil as per requirement
  14. Bowl
  15. Kadai
  16. Spoon

Preparation of Sweet Corn Pakoda

  1. Boil sweet corn in cooker with 2-3 whistles.
  2. Then take a big bowl and put the sweet corn and add onion and salt and keep it for 5-10 minutes.
  3. After 5-10 minutes add besan, rice flor chilli powder, turmeric powder, Hing powder, saunf powder, jeera powder, chat masala, garlic lasoon paste and water as per requirement and mix it properly. 
  4. Batter should be smooth and not very hard.
  5. Cover it for 10-15 minutes.

Making of Sweet Corn Pakoda

  1. Now keep kadai on the gas with oil in it for heating in medium flame.
  2. After oil gets heated make small/medium size balls of the batter and put the same in the oil for deep frying. No of balls to be put at a time for deep frying depends on the type of kadai used.
  3. After the pakoda get good deep frying the same will turn into brown or dark brown colour
  4. Now take it out from kadai and drain them well and keep it on tissue papers for excess draining.
  5. Continue the frying procedure with the rest of the dough.
