Panipuri is a very crispy, sweet, yummy Indian snack. It is eaten every where from hotels to road side.

Ingredients for making Pani Puri

  1. Puri ready made or home made.
  2. 1 Large and 1 small potato or 3 medium size potatoes
  3. Kala Chana or chick pea 3/4 cup
  4. Water as per requirement
  5. Puffed Rice or murmura 2 cups
  6. Barik Sev 3/4 cups
  7. Chili Powder or mirchi powder 1/2 tbsp
  8. Green Chillies hari mirch 2-3
  9. Big Tomato or tamatar 1
  10. Roasted peanuts or mungfalli 1 tbsp
  11. Big onion or pyaj 1
  12. Namkeen Bundi
  13. Roasted chana dal
  14. Coriander leaves or dhania patti
  15. Big lemon or limbu 1 or 1/2-3/4 tbsp lemon juice
  16. Tamarind Chutney or imli chutney 2-3 tsp
  17. Green coriander chutney or dhania chutney 2-3 tsp
  18. Chat Masala Powder 2-3 tsp
  19. Mint leaves
  20. Ginger 1 medium
  21. Salt as per taste
  22. Big Bowl
  23. 1 Big spoon

Preparation of Pani Puri Masala

  1. Boil potatoes and kala chana in a pressure cooker.
  2. Peel the boiled potatoes
  3. Smash peeled potatoes.
  4. Cut onion into small pieces
  5. Chop green chilies in to small pieces.
  6. Cut tomato into small pieces.
  7. Chop mint leaves.
  8. Chop coriander leaves.
  9. Now take a big bowl and put smashed boiled potatoes, kala chana, puffed rice, add barik sev, chopped green chillies, diced tomato, roasted peanuts, finely chopped onion, namkeen bundi, roasted chana dal and mix it properly with the help of big spoon.
  10. Now the material have mixed well and now the time to add chutneys. So add chat masala powder, tamarind chutney, green coriander chutney, lemon juice to the material and again mix it properly with the help of big spoon. Mixing is very important to get the yummy taste.
  11.  Now, the last step. Add salt, water, chili powder, chopped coriander leaves and again mix it properly.

Preparation of Pani

1. Take a bowl and 4 cups of water in it. Now add, Mint leaves 3/4 cups, Coriander leaves 3/4 cups, chat masala powder, salt as per taste, chilli powder and mix it properly.


Serve/Eat the PANI PURI by putting masala in puri and adding prepared water.
