HOW TO MAKE CORN OR MAKKA TIKKI


Ingredients for making Corn or Makka Tikki

  1. Corn kernels 2 cups
  2. Bread Slice 3-4
  3. Besan 1 tbsp
  4. Garlic 2-3 pcs
  5. Green Chillies 4-5
  6. Garam Masala 1 tbsp
  7. Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander leaves 1 cup
  9. Milk 1 cup
  10. Onion 1
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. Kadai
  13. Oil for frying
  14. Gas
  15. Spoon

Preparation for Making Corn or Makka Tikki

  1. Boil the corn kernels
  2. Chop green chillies, coriander leaves
  3. Cut onion in round pieces.
  4. Grind the garlic.

Making of Corn or Makka Tikki

  1. Take outer hard part of bread and put soft portion of bread in milk and make balls.
  2. In the balls put boiled corn kernels, besan, grind garlic, chopped green chillies, garam masala, lemon juice, coriander leaves and fix it properly so that during frying the ball should not not get open.
  3. Now press the balls.
  4. Keep kadai on the gas with oil in it for heating.
  5. After oil gets heated put the pressed balls in the oil for deep frying.
  6. After colour changes to dark brown from both the sides take it out with the help of spoon and drain the oil in the kadai itself. Excess oil can be drained by keeping the tikki on the tissue paper.
  7. Repeat the same for rest of the batter.
CORN OR MAKKA TIKKI is ready to eat/serve with onion and tomato sauce.
