Kachcha Chiwda is very easy and tasty snacks prepared.

Ingredients for making Kachcha Chiwda

  • Murmura 4 Cups
  • Thin Poha 3 Cups
  • Roasted Peanuts  1/4 cup
  • Mustard Seeds 1/2 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Green Chillies 3-4
  • Onion 1 Medium
  • Tomato 1 medium
  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Chili Powder 1/4 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Sugar as per taste
  • Asafoetida 1 pinch
  • Coriander leaves
  • Kadai
  • Spoon
  • Gas
  • Bowl

Before Preparation of Kachcha Chiwda

  • Finely chop coriander leaves. 
  • Chop Green chillies, onion, tomato onion in to small pieces.

Preparation of Kachcha Chiwda

  • Keep kadai on the gas with oil in it in medium flame for heating.
  • Add mustard seeds for checking whether oil is sufficiently heated.
  • After mustard seeds start spluttering it is the sign that oil is sufficiently heated.
  • Now add turmeric powder, chili powder and asafoetida. Your Phodni is ready. It will be used on the poha.
  • Now put poha, roasted peanuts, chopped tomato, chopped onion, murmura, green chillies  in a bowl and mix it properly with the help of spoon.
  • Now in the mixed material pour the already prepared phodni on it and again mix all the material.
  • After mixing add salt and sugar and as per taste and again mix it properly.
  • Kachcha Chiwda is ready.

Serve/Enjoy the Kachcha Chiwda with coriander leaves on it.
